Welcome to the official website for the City of Sycamore. 

On June 15th the City Council approved the 2009 Street Maintenance Program.  The principal objective of the program is to improve the driving condition of many street surfaces.  City crews may perform some curb and gutter repairs in areas where such repairs are critical to water management or public safety.

Each year City staff identify and prioritize streets for improvements.  The streets are ranked with respect to condition, amount of traffic and maintenance needs.  Because of deterioration that occurs each winter, the prioritized list is revised each spring.  About a dozen different pavement techniques will be utilized to stretch the durability of the repairs.
